Instructor, Employee & Volunteer Safety Policy

1. Scope
This Policy supports the safety of the founder, instructors, assistant trainers, decoys/helpers, employees, volunteers, visiting trainers, contractors, clients and visitors.
2. Authority to Stop Work
Authorized personnel may stop an exercise when equipment, weather, dog behavior, handler conduct, health or facility conditions create unacceptable risk.
3. Protective Equipment
Appropriate sleeves, suits, blinds, barriers, lines, footwear, communication tools and first-aid resources should be used for the activity and inspected before use.
4. Decoy/Helper Safety
Only authorized persons may perform decoy/helper work. Clients must not release a dog, alter equipment or begin an exercise before the agreed signal.
5. Incident Reporting
Bites, near misses, falls, equipment failure, heat events, threats and property damage should be documented promptly.
6. Client Interference
Harassment, threats, unsafe interference or deliberate violation of instructions may result in immediate termination and removal.
7. Emergency Readiness
Sessions should consider communication, emergency access, first aid, veterinary contact, weather and evacuation needs.
